Data deletion
Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how Viraal users can disconnect social platforms and request deletion of personal information. It is intended for end users and for provider review teams (including Meta).
Disconnect a social account in Viraal
If you are signed in to Viraal, open Settings → Integrations (or Social accounts). Choose Disconnect for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. Disconnecting removes the workspace link and clears stored encrypted provider credentials for that connection. Where the provider supports it, Viraal also attempts to revoke the authorization (Google and Meta). TikTok disconnect clears local credentials; TikTok Login Kit for Web does not currently expose a separate revoke call in this product.
Request deletion of personal information
To request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information associated with your Viraal account, email support@getviraal.io from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Available rights depend on where you live.
Deletion requests are handled according to our Privacy Policy. Removing a social connection does not automatically delete your entire Viraal account, workspaces, or content you created in Viraal.
Meta / Instagram platform deletion requests
When Meta sends a user data-deletion request for Facebook Login / Instagram connections, Viraal processes a signed request on our backend, disconnects matching Instagram connections, and clears related provider credentials and profile metadata for those connections. Meta receives a confirmation code and status URL for that request. This flow deletes Meta-linked social connection data — not unrelated Viraal account content — unless you separately request full account deletion.
You can also disconnect Instagram from Settings → Integrations, or email support for help.
Google / YouTube and TikTok
YouTube: disconnecting in Viraal removes the connection and attempts Google token revocation. You may also remove Viraal access from your Google Account permissions.
TikTok: disconnecting in Viraal removes the local connection and encrypted tokens. You may also revoke app access from TikTok’s account settings where available.
